  1. The horizon, the sky by the hour and life far away

    Version 0.1.0 · build 402619

    • There is a horizon now: the sea ends under the top cards and the sky begins. The sky follows your clock: at dawn the sun rises on the left, at dusk it sets on the right, and at night there are stars and the moon in its real phase, the one you would see out of the window tonight. Now and then a shooting star crosses. The sun and the moon glint on the water.
    • Life far away: every so often a silhouette shows on the horizon (a jumping fish, dolphins, a shark's fin, a whale). Tap it while it lasts and it pays sand: a few seconds of what the island makes, more the rarer it is. The first one is always a whale. With "Reduce motion" they stand still but pay the same.
    • The camp moves to the back of the island, between the machine and the silver sieve, and it is bigger; a few palms made room for it. Wind gusts move its tarp and the fronds of some palms.
    • If your save came from the old brick "Houses", the camp no longer shows up finished without you building it: it starts from zero, and so does its bonus for the crew. Camps at levels 1 to 5 stay as they were.
  2. We're now called Farward

    · Version 0.1.0 · build 402608

    • Idle Brick Empire is now Farward, from "far" and "forward": going far, to lands nobody knows yet. New logo and app icon: golden stone letters with a compass star, and a little island with a lighthouse on top. The island, your save and your crew stay as they were. The website moves to farward.miguelpuig.com.
  3. The rates bar under the task card

    · Version 0.1.0 · build 402509

    • The crew counter is no longer on the island (it covered the campfire). Tap the card at the top: a small bar shows the crew, the machine, the shovels and the camp, each with its level and what it brings; another tap hides it.
  4. The island grows, the machine grows, and the Camp

    · Version 0.1.0 · build 402473

    • You can see the island grow: it starts small in the middle of the sea and every expansion makes it bigger on screen (the camera no longer zooms out by itself). From island 3 it no longer fits: drag it, and it stays where you leave it. A double tap on the water, or a pinch, shows the whole island or brings it close again; the view is remembered. New sand comes out wet and dries.
    • The machine stands bigger with every era: the wooden pulley is small, the iron crane is taller than a worker and the excavator is big.
    • "Houses" are now the "Camp": where the crew rests, on the shore by the campfire. Paid in sand from island 1, five levels for now (tent, lean-to, stick hut, palm roof, porch with lantern), and each level makes the crew dig ×1.05 more (not the machine). If you already had brick houses, you keep your level and its multiplier. Now and then a worker takes a nap; the numbers never stop. Bricks wait for the camp's big levels.
  5. The radio by the campfire

    · Version 0.1.0 · build 402413

    • An old rusty radio stands by the campfire on the south shore, from the first expansion. At night its dial lights up while the music plays.
    • Tap it to choose what plays: "Island" (the music grows with the island, as before) or "Relax mode" (only the two calm songs, with more sea between them, for leaving the game open at night).
    • Press and hold it and, like everything else on the island, it has something to say.
  6. Music that grows with the island

    · Version 0.1.0 · build 402391

    • Each stage of the island has its own theme: the shore, the palm grove, the ruins and the voyage. It takes turns with the two calm tracks you know, with sea in between.
    • Growing into a new stage, the song bows out, the sea plays for a moment and the new theme comes in. Setting sail starts again from the shore.
  7. The spyglass

    · Version 0.1.0 · build 402366

    • Now and then something appears on the island: a coconut, coral, a black-headed gull, a fin... Tap it, then trade it for sand in the Logbook; what you have not seen yet is a silhouette.
    • When the next island is far, the task card points at the next step that brings it closer, instead of "125 days".
  8. A shorter task card

    · Version 0.1.0 · build 402257

    • The task card shows only the goal and the sand; the crew's time appears when it opens. The crew tag no longer hides the machine.
  9. Shovels that multiply

    · Version 0.1.0 · build 402248

    • Each shovel level makes the whole crew dig ×1.25 more: level 10 is ×9.3, level 30 ×808. Numbers grow much bigger, and later islands cost more to match.
    • Playing non-stop, the first hour never goes more than about four minutes without something to buy.
  10. Night falls on the island

    · Version 0.1.0 · build 402233

    • The island follows your phone's clock: dawn, day, sunset and a blue night, with a campfire on the south shore that lights the sand around it. The crew keeps digging.
  11. A green light to buy

    · Version 0.1.0 · build 402210

    • The big button turns dark green as soon as you can pay for it, and stays grey with a padlock until then.
  12. A tidier screen, a livelier island

    · Version 0.1.0 · build 402155

    • The card at the top is one line; it opens for a few seconds with each new goal, or when you tap it. "Your crew keeps digging" is said once.
    • A Big scoop is worth at least 20 seconds of everything your island digs. Fast taps merge into one number instead of piling up.
    • The woodcutter saws a log, the water ripples where you tap it, and dragging the island moves the view a little.
    • Settings has "Effects" and "Music and sea", so you can mute the taps and keep the sea. A new x2 button runs the island at double speed, free while we test.
  13. Always know what to do next

    · Version 0.1.0 · build 402091

    • The card at the top says what you get next ("A bigger island") and, when it is far off, which upgrade gets you there sooner.
    • When only waiting is left, it says so, and how many hours you can stay away. Long waits read in days.
    • Work, Buildings and Market explain what each thing does, and where the bricks for houses come from: sand, then clay, then bricks.
  14. Sounds that never repeat

    · Version 0.1.0 · build 402059

    • Every dig sounds a little different, and a lucky dig has its own sound.
    • The gull has three calls and is heard from the side it flies in from.
    • The sea is two layers that never line up, with a single wave now and then; the music rests a different while between songs.
    • Each upgrade pops a little higher than the last; crew milestones and houses get a short ding.
  15. Bubbles that fit their words

    · Version 0.1.0 · build 402056

    • Speech bubbles and the messages at the top now fit their text in full, with even margins, however many lines it takes.
    • A message that appears while a sheet is open shows just above it, so it never covers the sheet's title.
  16. Help that never covers what you read

    · Version 0.1.0 · build 402006

    • The "While you were away" sheet can be read in full: the help bubble no longer covers its lines.
    • Inside Work, Buildings and Market, the help only frames the button, so the card stays readable.
    • Opening a sheet clears any message at the top, so it never covers the sheet's title.
  17. The game opens with the sea

    · Version 0.1.0 · build 401538

    • The launch screen now melts into your island instead of cutting to it.
    • A wave washes in and a seagull flies over as the game opens; the music starts right after.
    • You can tap the island from the first moment, even under the logo.
  18. Your island is safe on older versions

    · Version 0.1.0 · build 401531

    • If you install an older version of the game after a newer one, your island is no longer lost: the game asks you to update it and leaves your progress alone.
  19. Speech bubbles you can read

    · Version 0.1.0 · build 401520

    • The seagull, the crab and the workers now speak one bubble at a time, so lines never pile up on top of each other.
    • Bubbles always fit whole on the screen, on any phone, and long lines stay up longer.
    • Tap a bubble, or a message at the top, to make it go away.
  20. A market, bricks and a new menu

    · Version 0.1.0 · build 401486

    • A new menu at the bottom with five tabs: Map, Work, Buildings, Market and Shop. Most start with a padlock; tap a closed one and it tells you when it opens.
    • Market, from island level 3: the clay workshop turns part of the sand being dug into clay and the kiln fires it into bricks. They work on their own, even with the game closed, and never spend the sand you have.
    • Buildings holds the storage and the new houses, paid in bricks: each level makes the crew dig 4% more.
    • Work is the old Trades tab. Settings and the Logbook are behind the three-dot button, top right.
  21. The island talks back

    · Version 0.1.0 · build 401454

    • Tap the seagull, the crab or the workers: each one talks in character, with 30 lines that never repeat until you have heard them all.
    • Keep tapping the same one and it gets more and more annoyed, up to a surprise ending.
    • Sometimes they tell a true fact about gulls, crabs, sand or bricks. Facts are kept in the new Logbook, in Settings.
  22. See your crew get better

    · Version 0.1.0 · build 401454

    • Above the workers, a tag shows the crew level, its experience bar and how much sand each worker digs per second.
    • When the crew levels up or you buy shovels, that number goes up and the gain floats from the tag.
  23. A new launch screen

    · Version 0.1.0 · build 401390

    • While the game loads, the screen shows the game logo with the MP Games badge at the bottom.
  24. Your crew gains experience

    · Version 0.1.0 · build 401269

    • The crew levels up by itself as it digs, even while you are away.
    • 67 titles, from odd-job helper to managing director of Brick Empire; each level adds 1% sand.
    • The Sand digger card in Trades shows the title and how close the next level is.
  25. The machine, and 50 levels of shovels

    · Version 0.1.0 · build 401260

    • A new card in Trades: build a machine that digs on its own, starting with a wooden pulley.
    • 50 levels in eight eras: winch, cranes, steam, engine, hydraulics, up to a modern excavator. Each new era doubles its sand.
    • The machine works faster as it levels up, and puffs steam or smoke in its later eras.
    • Shovels now go to level 50, each level with its name, from a carved wooden shovel to a professional kit.
  26. Calmer screens, sharper art

    · Version 0.1.0 · build 401260

    • Screens, tips and speech bubbles fade in and out instead of popping.
    • Icons, flags and everything on the island have smooth edges on every screen.
    • Sound, Music and Vibration are proper switches, and a finished task shows a tick.
    • Reset game in Settings: start over on this device. It asks first and keeps your settings.
  27. Tips for the first session

    · Version 0.1.0

    • The screen dims around the thing to tap, a ring pulses on it and a short bubble says what it does.
    • One tip at a time: collecting, the first expansion and hire, then shovels and storage when you can first afford them.
    • Nothing blocks a tap, and a tip goes away for good once you do what it says.
  28. Every tap digs

    · Version 0.1.0

    • Tapping a worker digs too, and every finger counts.
    • The big button offers a shovel upgrade only when it pays for itself before the next expansion.
    • The task card shows how long your crew needs to reach the goal.
  29. Music

    · Version 0.1.0

    • Two calm music tracks play in turn.
    • A Music switch in Settings.
  30. A pastel look

    · Version 0.1.0

    • The interface is now peach, mint and cream.
  31. Spanish and English

    · Version 0.1.0

    • The game follows your phone's language.
    • A language selector with flags in Settings.
  32. Clearer screens

    · Version 0.1.0

    • Buttons show their price.
    • Settings shows the game version.
  33. Sound and vibration

    · Version 0.1.0

    • Sounds for digging, buying and expanding, with the sea in the background.
    • Sound and Vibration switches in Settings.
  34. Lucky digs

    · Version 0.1.0

    • About one tap in 25 is a Big scoop, worth ten times more.
    • The sand counter rolls up to its new value.
  35. A living island

    · Version 0.1.0

    • Clouds drift, a seagull crosses the sky and a crab walks along the shore.
    • Tap the crab or the seagull and they react.
  36. The first island

    · Version 0.1.0

    • Dig, hire workers and expand the island, with the phone upright.
    • Shovel and storage upgrades.
    • The sand your workers dug is waiting when you come back.
    • Press and hold anything to hear what it has to say.
